1. Formation of the Contract

 

The guest accommodation service contract is formed between the guest and the accommodation provider upon the use of the accommodation services and room reservation, to which these General Terms and Conditions apply. The reservation can be made electronically, by phone, or in person. The reservation becomes final upon written confirmation or confirmation via an email from the accommodation provider’s official email address.


 

2. Reservation and Advance Payment

 

The accommodation provider considers the reservation to be final only after the guest has paid the advance amount.

  • An advance payment of 30% of the total accommodation fee is required.
  • The advance payment can be made by bank transfer, in person, or with a SZÉP card.
  • Once an advance payment invoice has been issued, the final invoice details (name, address) cannot be changed.
  • Based on the above, the guest accommodation service contract is formed between the parties upon payment of the advance.

 

3. Cancellation Policy

 

  • Room reservations can be canceled free of charge up to 15 days before arrival. In this case, the advance payment will be refunded to the guest.
  • If the reservation is canceled within 15 days before arrival, or if the guest is a no-show, the accommodation provider will charge a penalty equal to the amount of the advance payment, which will be offset by the advance payment already received.

 

4. Check-in and Check-out

 

  • Check-in: From 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM on the day of arrival.
  • Check-out: By 11:00 AM on the day of departure.
  • The accommodation provider is entitled to charge a surcharge for late check-out.
  • A representative of the accommodation provider will be on-site upon request to greet guests on arrival.
  • Check-in and check-out times can be changed by prior arrangement. Late check-out may be possible depending on availability.
  • The remaining portion of the accommodation fee and the tourist tax must be paid in cash or by credit card against an invoice issued by the accommodation provider before occupying the rooms.
  • No refunds will be given for departures before the agreed-upon date.

 

5. Accommodation Services

 

The accommodation provider offers a maximum of 8 four-person apartments for its guests. The details of the services are specified in the reservation confirmation.


 

6. House Rules

 

Guests are required to comply with the house rules and general rules of cohabitation on the premises. In the event of a breach of the house rules or intentional or negligent damage, the guest is financially liable to the accommodation provider.

  • The accommodation can only be used by the number of people stated in the reservation.
  • When leaving the room, please make sure that the air conditioning and lights are turned off and the faucets are closed.
  • Rooms and the main entrance door must be locked when you leave the premises!
  • Upon final departure, the keys must be handed over to the accommodation provider’s representative. Please inform the representative of the accommodation provider about this time in advance. The accommodation provider provides a 24-hour phone number for this purpose.
  • Please leave the accommodation clean. Place garbage in the trash cans or containers.

Use of Rooms and Furnishings

  • Please use the furnishings as intended.
  • We are not responsible for damages resulting from improper use of the furnishings.
  • The air conditioner (AC) may only be used with windows and doors closed.
  • Smoking is strictly forbidden in the apartments! Designated smoking areas are available.
  • To maintain cleanliness in the courtyard and throughout the entire guesthouse, please collect cigarette butts and place them in the trash cans.
  • To ensure the peace of our guests and the cleanliness of the apartments, animals are strictly forbidden from being brought into the apartments!
  • Cleaning is done once every four days, with a change of bed linen and towels. Daily cleaning is available upon request.
  • An iron, ironing board, and shoe care kit are available upon request.

Other

  • Please observe the 22:00 to 6:00 quiet hours.
  • If you notice any malfunction, please notify the staff as soon as possible.
  • The accommodation provider is not responsible for damages or compensation for events beyond its control (e.g., hail, fire, power outage, damage in the parking lot, etc.).
  • Violation of the house rules may result in a ban, and theft or damage to property may result in further action.
  • The accommodation provider is entitled to check, without prior notice, whether guests are staying at the accommodation with the number of people that was declared and paid for.

 

7. Data Management

 

Guests’ data is handled in accordance with the Data Management Policy, which is available on the accommodation provider’s website and in printed form at the Kastély Apartman és Sörház.

The purpose of data management is:

  • The provision of accommodation services
  • Contact management
  • Fulfillment of legal obligations (e.g., tourist tax, police registration).

Data related to reservations—such as the guest’s name, contact information, reservation date, duration, and room type—are contained and stored in the PREVIO reservation and invoicing system. The accommodation provider uses this data exclusively for the purpose of managing and fulfilling the reservation.


 

8. Camera System, Security System

 

An outdoor surveillance camera system is in operation on the premises for personal and property safety. The recorded footage is stored by the Data Controller for a maximum of 168 hours. The apartment building is equipped with a burglar-resistant, motion, and smoke-detecting system.


 

9. Legal Disputes

 

Any potential legal disputes between the accommodation provider and the guest are primarily intended to be settled amicably. If this is not successful, the parties agree on the jurisdiction of the Gyula District Court.


 

10. Other Provisions

 

The accommodation provider reserves the right to unilaterally amend these General Terms and Conditions, of which it will notify guests on its website and/or electronically. The changes do not affect reservations that have already been confirmed.
